NDIS | Funding Information

At SPAO, we have access to various funding bodies to assist our clients in accessing the prosthetics and orthotics they require.

These include

  • NDIS - National Disability Insurance Scheme
  • Enable NSW
  • DVA - Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Insurance Agencies - WorkCover and Motor Vehicle Accidents
  • Self-funders

What is the NDIS?

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and improved quality of life.

The NDIS is for those who are

  • Permanent residents or visa holders under the age of 65
  • Have a disability that is likely to be permanent and significant.
  • Require ongoing support for the rest of their lives

Our team of clinicians and NDIS specialists can assist you in registering for the NDIS program. We can also help you develop your functional and lifestyle goals to meet your expectations. We are committed to helping you navigate the NDIS and access the support you require.

As a registered NDIS provider, we offer a range of services to ensure you receive the best possible care and assistance. Our team is here to guide you through every step, from consultations to ongoing support, making the process as smooth as possible.

GETTING STARTED

Contact your local NDIS office or local NDIS partner and ask them to support you to connect to disability supports in your local area or support you to apply to the NDIS, if you are eligible Phone the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or head to the website - https://www.ndis.gov.au/

If you are eligible for the NDIS and have received an "access decision" letter, the next step is creating your NDIS plan. Your plan is a written agreement worked out with you. The NDIS will ask questions about how you are going in different areas of your life, what goals you would like to pursue and what kind of help and support you need. This will help them to develop a plan that provides the right support for you.

Once you have your plan, there are people who will help you start using your plan, find out the different types of budgets and show you how to use the "myplace" portal.
