Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFO)

A KAFO is an orthosis which spans the entire length of the leg. They are used to provide stability to the weakened knee, foot and ankle. They can also be used in a non-weightbearing manner to support range of motion improvements. Here at Southern Prosthetics & Orthotics we aim to meet your individual needs and preferences, and provide the highest level of support. As there are many different knee joints and ankle joints that can be used with KAFOs, we will be able to assess you for a KAFO that meets your needs and safety requirements. These joints can range from free swinging, locked, stance control joints and the C-Brace.
