Katrina Shatford

Katrina is the Senior Physiotherapist for both SPAO and Ottobock Australia and knows that training is the key to optimising function in a prosthesis or orthosis. With 25 years of clinical experience in a busy rehabilitation unit in Western Sydney, Katrina joined the SPAO team in early 2021 and brought with her a wide range of expertise in training both amputee and neurological patients from the acute phase though to lifelong management.

Katrina loves helping people get the most use and benefit from their prosthetic or orthotic device by offering training that is functional and goal-directed. Katrina is passionate about the ongoing education of Physiotherapists and Prosthetist/Orthotists and can often be found presenting at formal conferences or visiting local hospitals or private facilities in order to provide clinical support and education and has been involved for many years in teaching complex case management for Physiotherapists at Western Sydney University.
